Honda Elevate Facelift Teased Ahead Of October 6 Launch, Pre-Bookings Open At Rs 21,000

The teaser shows a new grille, a segmented LED light signature, connected tail-lamps and a reworked dashboard, while the petrol engine is expected to carry over.

Highlights –

  • Pre-bookings are open at Honda dealerships for Rs 21,000.
  • Teaser confirms a new grille, segmented DRLs and connected LED tail-lamps.
  • Launch and pricing on October 6; India is the first market for the update.

Honda Cars India has released an official teaser of the facelifted Elevate and started taking pre-launch bookings, four days before the SUV’s price reveal on October 6, 2026. Reservations can be made only at authorised dealerships for a token amount of Rs 21,000. Everything below that is visible in the teaser is confirmed. Anything about features and engines is still an expectation.

What the teaser shows –

Front –

The grille now has a glossy black finish with a hexagonal pattern, and the Honda logo has moved from the grille to the bonnet. The DRLs are segmented, with three horizontal light elements sitting between slim LED strips, a treatment similar to the one on the recently updated City. The headlamp and fog lamp housings look like the current car’s, but the bumper around them appears reworked, with angular detailing and a silver skid-plate-style element at the bottom.

Rear –

The tail-lamps are now connected by a horizontal LED strip across the tailgate, which should make the car look wider. The upright stance, roof rails and sculpted bonnet are retained.

Cabin –

The glimpse of the cabin is short, but the dashboard and door pads appear to use more white leatherette with stitching. Amber ambient lighting strips run along the dash and doors. Ambient lighting is currently only a dealer-fitted accessory on the Elevate.

Camera clue –

Only the left mirror shows a camera pod, which suggests the car will keep the Lane Watch system and not get the 360-degree camera that several rivals offer. Honda has not confirmed this.

What Honda has said –

Kunal Behl, Vice President – Marketing and Sales, said the update will add features customers have asked for, along with bolder styling and a more premium cabin. The Elevate went on sale in September 2023, so this is its first major update, roughly three years in. No equipment list has been released.

Engine and price –

The Elevate facelift is expected to keep its 1.5-litre four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine, rated at 121 PS and 145 Nm, with a 6-speed manual or a CVT. The City’s strong-hybrid system is unlikely to be offered. The outgoing Elevate starts at around Rs 11.8 lakh (ex-showroom). Honda will announce facelift prices on October 6, and a rise is likely given the added equipment.

Rivals –

It will go up against the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara and Victoris, Toyota Hyryder, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, Tata Sierra and Renault Duster. It will also face the upcoming Hyundai Bayon.

Our Take –

The teaser shows a front end that looks more modern and a cabin that appears more upscale. Ventilated seats, a sunroof and a bigger feature list are the usual things this segment demands, so the equipment list will matter as much as the styling. Keeping a single petrol engine without a hybrid is a limit when Maruti and Toyota sell strong-hybrids. Pricing will decide whether the facelift can hold its place among crowded midsize SUVs. Everything will be clear on October 6.
