Suzuki Motorcycle India has launched the Hayabusa Special Edition at Rs 19.90 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). It wears an exclusive Pearl Vigor Blue paint scheme and gets extra cosmetic details, and it sits above the regular Hayabusa, which continues at Rs 18.99 lakh. The standard bike also gets three new dual-tone colour options. Both versions get a lighter battery and some electronics updates. Here is everything you need to know.

What’s New On The Special Edition? –
The Special Edition is all about exclusivity, and the changes are cosmetic:
- Exclusive Pearl Vigor Blue paint
- Special decals on the bodywork
- A unique wheel finish
- A 3D Suzuki emblem and a dedicated Special Edition badge on the fuel tank
- Anodised muffler end and heat-guard components
- A single-seat cowl as standard equipment
Together, these give the Special Edition its own identity while keeping the Hayabusa’s familiar, aerodynamic silhouette.
New Colours For The Standard Hayabusa –
The regular Hayabusa now comes in three fresh dual-tone combinations:

- Metallic Galaxy Grey / Candy Burnt Gold
- Pearl Vigor Blue / Pearl Brilliant White

Updated Electronics –
Both versions get some practical updates:
- New lithium-ion battery: Made by ELIIY Power, it is lighter and more compact than before. Suzuki says it also gives more stable voltage under load.
- Revised software: The Launch Control System and Power Mode Selector get updated settings.
- Smarter cruise control: The Smart Cruise Control now stays active during gear shifts. Riders can use the quickshifter without cancelling the set speed or holding the throttle open.
The rider-aid package continues with Motion Track Traction Control, a bi-directional quickshifter, Suzuki Easy Start System, Low RPM Assist, Slope Dependent Control System and LED lighting.

Suzuki has also tuned the exhaust note using its Exhaust Sound Quality Evaluation Program. The aim is a powerful sound at start-up that stays comfortable during regular riding. The bodywork has been wind-tunnel tested for protection and stability at high speeds, both in normal and fully tucked-in positions.

He added that the new launch gives customers a more exclusive and premium ownership experience while keeping the bike’s iconic character intact.
Rivals –
The Hayabusa is a one-of-a-kind hyper-tourer with no direct rival, but riders looking for a big-capacity superbike may also consider the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R and the Ducati Panigale V2.
Verdict –
Suzuki has not touched what makes the Hayabusa special: the 1,340cc engine, the tuned exhaust note and the road-hugging stability. Instead, it has worked on the small things, like colours, a lighter battery and cruise control that no longer cancels on gear shifts. The Special Edition is for those who want a Hayabusa that stands out in a crowd, and the Rs 91,000 premium buys exclusivity rather than performance. If you only want the performance, the standard bike with one of the new dual-tone shades is the better value.
