New Maruti Dzire Review –
Is it still India’s favourite sedan?
For over a decade, the Maruti New Dzire has dominated India’s compact sedan segment, winning hearts with its affordable pricing, practicality and Maruti Suzuki’s reliability.
But with the rising performance of rivals like the Hyundai Aura, Honda Amaze and Tata Tigor, is the 2025 New Dzire still a favourite? Let’s take a look at it.
New Maruti Dzire Design:

Small but significant changes
The new Dzire features an all-new design that stays in line with its simple character. The front grille has a bold chrome finish, flanked by sleek LED projector headlamps with integrated DRLs on either side.
New Dzire Exterior Features –
LED projector headlamps with DRLs
Precision-cut two-tone alloy wheels
Body-coloured bumpers & door handles
Updated bumpers and alloy wheels give it a distinct look, while the sloping roofline retains the classic sedan silhouette.
Maruti has kept the Dzire the same without any new changes, so that it can be recognised from a distance.
New Dzire Interior And Features:
Practicality comes first
The New Dzire’s interior comes with better materials than before. The dual-tone dashboard features soft-touch elements, and the 7-inch SmartPlay Pro+ touchscreen (with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto) makes the cabin feel great.
New Dzire interior key highlights:
Arkamys sound system for enhanced audio.
Automatic climate control and rear AC vents.
Multi-function steering wheel and paddle shifters (AMT variants).
While the Hyundai Aura comes with a sunroof and digital instrument cluster, the Dzire focuses on the practical side of things.
New Dzire Performance and Mileage:
The King of Fuel Efficiency
The Dzire is powered by a 1.2L K-series petrol engine that produces 89 bhp. There is an option of a 5-speed manual or AMT. This engine is more refined than before and works well in the city but gives you less pick up on the highway.
You get an engine with SHVS mild-hybrid technology. The company claims 24.8 kmpl (manual), making it India’s most fuel-efficient sedan. The factory-fitted CNG variant claims (22 km/kg).
New Dzire Price
The new Dzire is priced between ₹6.51 lakh and ₹9.39 lakh (ex-showroom). The Dzire is still cheaper than the Honda Amaze (₹7.16 – ₹11.15 lakh) and the Hyundai Aura (₹6.33 – ₹9.34 lakh).
Verdict: New Dzire is still practical
The New Dzire may not be the most exciting or luxurious sedan, but what matters to Indian buyers is:
Great mileage on a budget.
Low maintenance costs and a mechanic available everywhere.
Spacious cabin.
New Dzire Ground Clearance is good for indian roads
While other companies may offer better technology or diesel engines, the Dzire’s blend of practicality, efficiency and reliability keeps it relevant.
